Reiki
Reiki comes from ancient Buddhist and Taoist teachings and was rediscovered in Japan in the late 1800s by Mikao Usui.
Reiki is a Japanese word, Rei means Higher Counsciousness and Ki means Life Force Energy. So it is actually a spiritually guided life force energy, that moves through the practitioner onto the patient. This is done while the Reiki Master gently lays hands on the client.
A Reiki treatment is a powerful experience healing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. It provides a much higher level of nurturing to the body. It dissolves or transmutes negative energies and blockages at all levels, even emotional or spiritual.
Reiki is filled with love, peace, compassion and wisdom. It cannot cause harm, it cannot be affected by our conscious minds, therefore it creates only good.
During a treatment, the practitioner uses the sacred symbols in order to amplify the power of the energy.
Science has shown that when an organ is healthy, it pulses within a certain range of frequencies (electromagnetic field). When an organ is unhealthy, it moves out of this range. Instruments measuring the electrical activity of the body show that the hands of Reiki Masters produce strong pulsing electromagnetic fields when they treat a patient. Their hands pulse at the rate the unhealthy organ needs to be healthy. Through magnetic induction or Faraday's Law, the healer's hands induce the healthy frequency into the unhealthy electromagnetic field of the tissues, helping the organ to return to a healthy state.
Reiki supplies healing energies where they are needed. It works harmoniously with all alternative therapies (Theta Healing™, acupuncture, aromatherapy, homeopathy, naturopathy, massage, chiropractic, …) as well as with Western Medicine.
Through several medical studies, Reiki has been found to be very effective for patients with chronic illnesses, chronic pain or emotional distress, injuries, tumors, acute infections, asthma, headaches, blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia. Reiki also strenghtens the immune system, brings deep relaxation and promotes stress reduction.
Today, it is commonly used in hospitals and medical centers throughout the United States. |
